Face Massage Tips and Techniques

By giving yourself a daily face massage with a loving touch, over time, you will notice your skin starts taking on a healthy glow and looks and feels more youthful and supple.

Face massage is a beautiful and simple self-care practice you can effortlessly incorporate into your self-care rituals. You can gently massage your face while applying Oil Cleanser or putting on your face serum or cream.

Instructions:

Make sure your face is clean and slightly moist. Do not tug or pull on your skin. Increase and decrease pressure per what feels good to you.

Using your fingertips, massage each area at least three or more times:

Pump a small amount of oil or serum in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together. Tap the oil/serum all over your face:

  • Sweep your fingertips from the center of your brow to your forehead. Repeat this motion several times to relax the forehead lines.
  • Next, sweep the center of your brow upward to the top of your forehead, then outward toward your temples in a curved motion, applying slightly more pressure with each pass.
  • Gently place your fingertips two in front of your ear and two behind. Slide them down to your collarbone, spreading them as you go.
  • Squeeze your chin several times. Add more oil serum, if needed.
  • From the middle of your chin, place your thumbs below your chin and your pointer finger knuckles just above your chin. Sweep up your jawbone all the way up to just below your ears. Repeat, applying more pressure with each pass.
  • Position your pointer finger knuckles on each side of your nose where your nostrils flare. Gently trace around the cheekbone, up and around to your ears.
  • Apply the same sweeping motions to the top area of your cheeks.
  • Using your third finger, very gently sweep under your eyes, making sure that you do not tug. Next, tap around your eyes in an arc motion, starting from the outer corner and moving toward the inner corner.
  • Apply gentle pressure between your eyebrow bone and then sweep outward softly to the corner of your eyes.
  • Next, a gentle sweep starting between your eyebrows, moving up to your forehead, around your temples, down to your ears, and then to your collarbone.

End with a gentle sweep starting between your eyebrows, moving up around your nose and up to your forehead, around your temples, down to your ears, and then to your collarbone.

This might seem to have many steps, but it becomes quite intuitive and feels natural after performing it once or twice.

And this is it, a gentle face massage to help promote circulation and reduce puffiness. Deeply relaxing your body, mind, and spirit.
