Creams
Creams are thick and silky, with the help of aloe vera, they absorb quickly into the skin with just a bit of massage.
Salves
Salves are thick and a bit oily, They work well if you would like the product to sit on the surface of your skin and slowly absorb or if you would like to spend time massaging the product in.
My process of creating salves and creams is a bit lengthy, the outcome is well worth it:
First, hand selected plants & flowers are placed in a sterile glass jar. Warmed oil is then poured over the plant. The jar is left in a warm, dark place for up to three weeks, shaken daily to help release the healing properties.
Next, the plant material is pressed out.
All the plant's medicinal properties are now in the oil.
The beautiful, medicinal oils are ready to be incorporated into salves and creams.
To create a salve, the oils are gently melted with beeswax and a small amount of lecithin, pure essential oils and vitamin E to create thick, rich salves.
To create a cream, the process is taken one more step, where the salve is whipped with Aloe vera juice and more medicinal oils to create a soft, silky cream.
